About the F.E.A.S.T. Family Guide Project:

The F.E.A.S.T. Family Guide Series is a project to publish small booklets for the use of families facing an eating disorder diagnosis in the household. These booklets are designed to be well-written and represent the best current science. Our editors for each booklet are leading clinicians and researchers in the field who volunteer their time and expertise. Each team of editors is chosen by F.E.A.S.T. and the lead editor of each project. To keep our costs down, we partner with other organizations to print 15,000 copies at a time, and are currently researching distribution options. Donations are needed to cover printing and shipping costs, as demand for these booklets is growing.

How do I get copies of the Family Guide Booklets?

Our current supply of booklets is low, and we are not taking orders right now. Please check back, or Contact Us for more information.

We are currently distributing small quantities of the Guides free of charge, but ask that you consider making a donation to help cover our printing and/or shipping costs. Please Note: We do not accept donations from treatment providers unless the donation is made from a personal account.

Small Quantities: (under 150) To order printed copies, please:

Larger Quantities may be available for the cost of shipping directly from the printer (subject to inventory). Please Contact Us for more information.

Treatment Providers: If you are interested in stocking these materials for your clinic, we are looking to form a printing cooperative. To save money, we print in runs of 15,000 copies per guide. For $1000 a year, you can receive 500 copies of all three guides (1,500 total booklets). This is only possible if we have enough participants to raise $10,500 to cover the three print runs. Please Contact Us for more information.

Donations: Please consider a donation to help cover our costs.

  • $25 pays to print and ship 50 copies within the US
  • $60 pays to ship 200 booklets to our task forces overseas
  • $350 pays for printing and shipping of 500 copies of one guide.
  • $1,000 pays for the printing of approximately 5,000 booklets

Future Plans...

F.E.A.S.T. has plans for several more booklets for this series. One will focus on nutrition, and the other on how extended family can support treatment. We welcome feedback on the booklets and volunteers to help distribute them. Booklets are currently available for electronic download. Printed copies will be distributed by F.E.A.S.T. volunteers at conferences, advocacy events, and to local parent support groups.
